Narrative Description of Project:

Objective of the project is to provide the following container handling equipment and computer system for Unity Container Terminal (UCT) to enhance the total container handling capacity of the Port of Colombo :

Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:

Consulting services provided by our staff cover the following :

1)       Investigations and basic and detailed designs of container handling equipment and computer system;

2)       Preparation of specifications and cost estimate;

3)       Preparation of implementation program;

4)       Preparation of prequalification and bidding documents;

5)       Assistance in tendering;

6)       Supervision of equipment manufacture progress;

7)       Monitoring of transport and delivery of the equipment to the site;

8)       Supervision of installation of the equipment at the site;

9)       Testing of the equipment after installation; and

10)   Issue of Taking-Over Certificate to the Contractor.
