Narrative Description of Project:

Objective of the Project is to strengthen the port security system in eight (8) major international ports in Indonesia, i.e., Belawan, Dumai, Tanjung Pinang, Palembang, Teluk Bayur, Pontianak, Benoa and Makassar, by providing the following port security equipment to the said ports under the Japanese Government’s grant aid cooperation :

  1. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera Monitoring System;
  2. Lighting Equipment;
  3. Public Address (PA) System;
  4. X-ray Inspection System;
  5. Walk-Through Type Metal Detector;
  6. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS);
  7. Emergency Power Generator; and
  8. Materials for Incidental Work (Hand hole, underground pipe and cable)

Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:

The consulting services provided by our staff cover the following :

1)       Preparation of Inception Report;

2)       Confirmation of project background, purpose and project scope;

3)       Conduct of project site surveys;

4)       Study on the specifications of port security equipment required;

5)       Investigations of operation and maintenance system in the project ports;

6)       Formulation of technical support program to establish the port security system and capacity building system;

1)       Study on the local agents for provision of spare parts for the planned security equipment and after-sale services;

2)       Basic design of port security equipment and facilities, implementation plan, project cost estimate, and operation and maintenance plan;

3)       Estimated maintenance cost and replacement cost;

4)       Preparation of Draft Final Basic Design Report and Specifications of port security equipment and facilities.
