Narrative Description of Project:

The project consists of following :

1)         Renovated existing North Pier (2-berth, each –11 m deep) to handle containers;

2)         New North Berth (-7.5 m deep) to handle general cargo and cement in bulk;

3)         Revetment (280 m long in total):

4)         Dredging of navigation channel and port basin (39,500 m3);

5)         Reclamation (250,000 m3);

6)         Widened pier apron for container yard and open yard for general cargo;

7)         Construction of container yard and open yard (7.8 ha);

8)         Gate and office building (1,041 m2) as a control center of New North Pier area, and utilities;

9)         Port access road (12,000 m2), and

10)     Panamax quayside container cranes (3 units), transfer crane (6 units) and other container handling equipment.

1)       Natural conditions surveys and profile survey including EIA;

2)       Detailed design, cost estimate and bidding documents;

3)       Assistance in bidding;
