Narrative Description of Project:
Dong Lam Cement Joint Stock Company plans to construct Dong Lam Cement Plant with clinker production capacity of 4,000 tons/day, at Phong Xuan and Phong An Communes, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province, based on the Investment License granted by the Prime Minister under its letter No. 404/TTg-CN dated March 13, 2006. In order to meet the demands for materials transportation of the plant, the project owner intends to construct a general cargo seaport and a dedicated road route connecting from the plant to the seaport. Phase 1 Project (2008-2013) will cover 1) construction of clinker loading berth for the vessels of 7,000 DWT (total handling capacity of cargo throughput would be about 15 million tons/year.), 2) construction of breakwaters, dredging of access channel dredging and turning area in front of the berth, and 3) construction of storage facilities and unloading/loading equipment.

Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:
The consulting services provided by our staff cover the following :
1) Preparation of requirements for additional natural conditions surveys and data collection to be done by the Employer;
2) Data collection, site visit and evaluation of the adequacy and reliability of the collected data and surveyed results report;
3) Feasibility study including layout planning, basic design, investment planning and total cost estimate for investment; and
4) Legal procedures related to application of Procedure for Port Location and Procedure for Berth Alignment Plan.
