Brief Project Description

A cement plant (“the Cement Plant”) having a capacity of clinker and cement production of 1,650,000 and 940,800 tons per year respectively, will be newly constructed in Phong Xuan and Phong An Communes, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien-Hue Province. For transportation of materials and goods, or mainly import of coal and export of clinker, a sea port equipped with the Port Facilities will also be constructed at the Project Site in the South China Sea (Bien Dong). The Cement Plant and the Project Site will be connected by a dedicated road (the Access Road) with a length of about 17 km.

It is noted that the above mentioned capacity of the Cement Plan are those decreased from the figures in the BDR that is the main reason for reviewing the layout and structure of the Port Facilities in this report.
